British Columbia Bad Breath

British Columbia Bad Breath
12-hour driving suspension for suspected DUI with N license British Columbia. What are the legal consequences?

There was no Breathalyzer or ASL, the officer issued a 12-hour suspension after claiming to smell beer on the breath of the driver. I was wondering what the legal implications of this are for the driver with their N – Does this postpone class 5 eligibility? Could the driver receive a 1-3 month suspension later on as a result of this once the claim is reviewed by the superintendent of motor vehicles? Does this affect any safe driving discount the driver may have? And/or increase insurance rates? I am aware of the dangers of drinking and driving and am asking this question purely from a legal perspective, so please no responses from people who just want to write about how bad it is. I basically just need more information on the legal aspects of the suspension itself. Thank-you in advance for all info provided!

Never heard about suspected DUI before, I think you are or you are not under influence, if no test was made, there are no results, so who can assure you were DUI.I think that case will be dismissed if you are going to court, because if the officer had no the equipment to make a test to you, and he was sure you were under influence he was supposed to send you to a Hospital. No consequences in the future in my believe.
