One of the worst feelings in the world is being rejected for a job despite being certain he had done well during the interview process.
There are many reasons that might have been rejected for a job he interviewed for and some of them may not have even know (or never know) because they are told.
The typical reason you did not get the job because they found someone more suitable for the position you are. Maybe this person had more experience, better grades, or maybe just better presented in the interview that you did. Maybe they found during the interview as not ready, too aggressive or maybe was late.
These are all legitimate reasons and they all produce. There are many others, too.
Here are some other reasons that might have been rejected for a job that may not take into account:
- 1. The company decided to hire an internal candidate already working for them. 2. The company decided to hire someone who comes to them. 3. The company decided not to hire that is, to anyone. to put work on hold, he found no the "right" person, etc 4. The human resources director hired a friend, relative or colleague. Maybe he told them to hire their superiors. Favoritism happens. Nepotism, too! 5. If presented to the company through a recruiter, who may have decided to hire someone who does not come through a recruiter thus saving the company paying the recruiter a fee (they do). 6. The company hired someone cheaper than you. There was someone who was willing to take a lower salary than you. companies with tight budgets could do this.
Sometimes a company will not give a clear answer why service was denied.
In many cases, you may not even know and just accept the reason you gave as the truth.
The best thing you can do is to try to get as much business information as possible about why they were rejected.
The more you know, the more you improve your success future interviews.
